Yeah. As much as we love you Icky, try to remember that we were fans of the whole BAND, and haven't yet disowned the very talented Eric Dover.
Children, children, children. Please Stop this. Icky, now you have Dover's dad mad! Let it go. You and Joe are the only two of this fantabulous defunct band that maintain any contact what-so-ever with fans, don't make this sight a place to air your grievances. It's been a long time and you have to be positive to succeed, put this break-up behind you. We love you and we want to see you all happy and we all eagerly await the next Imperial Drag inspired project. If by now, people don't know why Imperial Drag broke up, don't tear open old wounds and spew venom about it, it doesn't help anyone. It's a shame that Imperial Drag broke up, for whatever reason. We don't need the gorey details every time someone new to the fold asks. Can't we all just get along? Thank you for posting Icky, we are always happy to hear from you, but no thanks for the negativity from you, or Mr. Dover or anyone else who might think this is their forum for hate. Howdeee! I almost forgot to tell you- I saw the most amazing show the other night- A band called SLOAN (heard of 'em?) -they played at the Troubador last Saturday night. Holy shit, were they good! I haven't seen a band that good since Cheap Trick at the House of blues back in October! Great songs, awesome singing & musicianship, AND, as if that weren't enough, they all switch instruments at different times during the show AND THEN KICK ASS ON THE OTHER INSTRUMENTS!!! Everyone trades off on vocal duties as well, which was also ridiculously impressive. It was quite the "star-studded" night, too. The fabulous Mc Donald brothers of Redd Kross fame were there, as was our very own Mr. Falkner. As I walked up to the club I saw them all standing together. We all chatted briefly, then went in. Jason seemed a tad surprised to see me, but was charming as always. Other celebrity guests included Actor Matt Dillon, daughter of famous film director Francis Ford Coppola (and Ex-Steve Mc Donald flame & regular Hollywood scenester) Sophia Coppola, and Comic actor Dave Foley of T.V.'s "News Radio" & "Kids in the hall" fame, to name but a few. Certain "privelidged" guests were invited to an after-show party at comic actor Dave Foley's Hollywood hills home. I didn't get to talk to him (even though I would've jumped at the chance), but I overheard him talking to some party-goers, and he seemed very nice. Sigh. And people ask me why I want to live in L.A....Before I left the party, Jason and I briefly spoke in the kitchen, and though I wanted to ask him why the hell he didn't hire me for his gig, it just didn't seem like the best time. As I left, Jason grabbed my arm & said,"hey man, let's like, hang out some time!", to which I replied,"Call me".'Ball's in his court. That's all for now. Go and buy every Sloan record you can get your grubby, little mits on. They're from Canada, and they ROCK!!! Trust me. If you like the Posies, Ben Folds, Elliot smith,etc., then you'll love these guys. Great fucking songs. O.K. Gotta Go. Buh-BYE! - ICK.

Icky finally discovers Sloan, i only reccomended them about a year ago, but i'm not bitter, the reccomended Sloan album from me i called "Twice Removed" an incredible album.....glad to see you like em Ick!! i thought that only us canadians would ever hear them......ID STILL ROX till next time cya!!!!

Man, do I miss these bands. If Jellyfish was a blast of fresh air, Imperial Drag was the big blow. I know ID did a tour....is there ANY chance of getting hold of these guys live? PLEASE e-mail me and let me know. And what about Jellyfish Live? I have all the CD singles that has most of the stuff, and a snippet from the live broadcast on the radio, plus the German TV appearance, but how about something official??? I had the good fortune of meeting Eric, Andy and Roger on the Spilt Milk tour in Orlando and they rocked out....how about some live from THAT band? Come on fellas! I know the DAT's were rolling...
