Hey Adam,I didn't really take it seriously.Just happened to reads it while in a bitchy mood.PMS happens to the best of us.Now a man in an apron that is something I would pay to see!! Hope you find some enjoyment in your new job
THIS JUST IN!! for all of you interested, and i know there are many, Andy Sturmer has co-produced a record for a Swedish band called The Merrymakers. He also plays drums on the record. To be released on February 9th, the title is Bubblegun (how appropriate!) the Merrymakers possess all of the sophistication and savvy song-craft of their (Swedish) peers but couple it with a propulsive, guitar-driven sound. The US release contains a bonus CD of rare and previously unreleased tracks including the Japanese hit single "Monument Of Me."> just thought you'd all like to know...much love....
Good call, i'd recomend picking this album up, the first one was truely remarkable. Also keep your eyes open jan 9. I heard beck is going to be on SNL, and hopefully we'll be able to see our hero in action on the keys!!!!!!

Imperial Drag split up in August, when Eric Dover and Roger Manning decided to call it a day. There had been rumours as early as February (allstar daily music news, 12 Feb) that Dover was leaving, but according to the group's manager, Wil Sharpe (quoted in allstar, 4 Sept), the pair had been trying to hold things together during those six months while they worked on their second album. Eric Dover, the band's frontman and guitarist, was formerly singer with Slash's Snakepit (although he doesn't sound so much like that on Imperial Drag's album - in fact he sounds more like Andy Sturmer, the singer/drummer in Jellyfish, and before that he was actually briefly in Jellyfish, although he never recorded with them, even though everyone now seems to think he was their singer... are you following?), (deep breath) with fellow 'Fisherman Roger Manning co-writing the songs and playing keyboards. Wil Sharpe also told allstar that Dover plans to pursue a solo project, while Roger Manning is looking for a new frontman to work with. He may continue to work with fellow Dragsters Joe Karnes (bass) and Eric Skodis (drums) under a different band name. Meanwhile, the second album by The Moog Cookbook, Roger Manning's side-project with producer Brian Kehew, is due for release on 28 October. Ye Olde Space Bande will feature Moogified versions of 10 classic rock songs including Van Halen's Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild, Boston's More Than a Feeling, David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, and the Eagles' Hotel California. Sounds like one of those awful Rock compilations for people who don't really like music that you see advertised on the telly. "We have more sounds this time around," says Roger Manning (allstar, 21 Aug). "We had anything we wanted this time. The sky was the limit as far as sounds go. We used about 50 different instruments, including a Chamberlin. It's a keyboard that plays tape loops of orchestral sounds; however, when you play it, it sounds more surreal, left of center. We threw stuff like that in the middle of the synthesized sounds and it really stands out." Hmmm... can't wait! But I'd rather have had a new Imperial Drag album, Roger...
